Life presents us with many challenges that can become overwhelming and lead to stress and a feeling of hopelessness. When you begin to feel stuck, it is hard to know what to do. At these times, a compassionate, experienced professional can start you on your journey back to wellness. You do not have to be alone. Therapy's power rests with the relationship you build with your therapist. If you feel that he/she hears what you're saying, cares, understands and has the ability to help, you will feel more hopeful. It takes energy and courage to call and meet with someone new, but if you do so and it goes well, you will begin to envision a future of less suffering and more satisfaction.
I do individual, couples and group therapy, depending on the concerns you bring in and our collaborative assessment about how best to address those concerns. I do psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is a depth psychology that focuses on uncovering thoughts and feelings that drive our behavior and cause tension; and that emphasizes the therapy relationship as being key to bringing about desired changes and achieving goals. My primary objective is to help patients gain clarity, confidence and comfort identifying and expressing their feelings and thoughts. This will help with stress management and development of strong coping skills. Together we will track progress; the length of time that we continue to meet will be part of that tracking and will vary.

If you decide you would like to meet, we can talk about a time and a location that works for you. I serve patients out of two offices -- Skokie and Deerfield -- and I accept some insurance carriers.
Please contact me anytime. I look forward to hearing from you.
